If you are in search for new eyeshadow palette then perhaps the Urban Decay ultimate basics eyeshadow palette or Kat Von D Shade and Light eyeshadow palette could be an option for you. These two eyeshadow palettes are great choices if you would prefer a natural look in the workplace or interested in expanding your makeup collection.
I have a neutral and olive complexion and lean towards the warm tone colours in both palettes. Although I use the cool tone colours in conjunction with the warm colours creating a unique eye look. Such as, faintly sweeping grey ('Magnet') across my eyes followed by a warm brown colour ('Faith') in the crease.
Consistency & longevity:
Either palette is versatile because both include cool tone and warm tone eyeshadows. As I have an olive undertone the first two colours of the Urban Decay palette ('Blow' and 'Nude') derive limited pigment. The formula of each eyeshadow palette is similar in which they both have a powdery consistency. Personally, I prefer the consistency because the eyeshadows are long lasting and have stayed on for a full workday and beyond.
Recommendation:
I recommend the Kat Von D Shade and Light eyeshadow palette and the Urban Decay Naked ultimate basics eyeshadow palette. I find these palettes to be a makeup staple in my collection due to the abundance of majority shimmer eyeshadows and sparse matte eyeshadows constructed in eyeshadow palettes. And you can create natural and simple makeup looks that would be best suited for a board meeting or a class presentation.
